Saturday's Singapore League Cup Quarter-final Results
Home United 1-1 DPMM FC (3-4 on penalties)
SAFFC 1-0 Hougang United

Home United fell to the dreaded penalty shootout in the quarter-finals of the Singapore League Cup on Saturday after playing out a 1-1 draw with DPMM FC.

Following a goalless first half at the Bishan Stadium, Home took the lead in the 48th minute when veteran striker Indra Sahdan Daud found the back of the net from close range, after DPMM goalkeeper Wardun Yussof had spilled a powerful long-range drive from Nor Azli Yusoff.

However, the Bruneian outfit were not to be denied and forced the game into extra-time in the dying moments when Brazilian centre-back Tales dos Santos ventured forward and scored with an acrobatic effort, after being out at the near post by a good cross from Azwan Saleh.

And with no further goals in the subsequent half-hour, the game then went to penalties, where Wardun once again came up with the goods and kept out Indra Sahdan Daud's final shot for Home, setting up the stage for Shahrazen Said to fire DPMM into the semi-finals with a well-placed finish that had Lewis wrongfooted.

DPMM will now meet SAFFC in Tuesday's first last-four clash, after the Warriors crept past Hougang United with a last-gasp 1-0 win at the Choa Chu Kang Stadium.

Shimpei Sakurada grabbed the only goal of the game for the hosts in the 90th minute when he lashed home a rebound from close range, after Tatsuro Inui had seen his penalty saved by Fadhil Salim.
