Developers in Singapore sold 1,702 new private residential units, excluding executive condominiums (ECs), in May.

This is a drop from April's record 2,487 units sold.

New private home sales fell almost 32 per cent in May, according to latest data released by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) on Friday.

May's drop in sales bucked the trend in strong sales achieved in the first four months of this year.
