Hot on the heels of signing Hazard from Lille this summer, Chelsea have now secured the signature of young Charly Musonda Jr, dubbed in Belgium as the next Eden Hazard.
The 15-year old, a product of the Anderlecht youth academy, was often the target of scouting missions by Manchester City personnel. Musonda also held talks with the Blues' London rivals Arsenal last week, but the midfielder decided to join Roman Abramovich's club.
Chelsea have also signed Musonda's two younger brothers, Tika and Lamisha. The trio are the sons of former Zambia international Charles Musonda.
Furthermore, the Blues have scoured the youth team of Champions League semi-final opponents Barcelona, and identified Barcelona B's Roberto as their next transfer target. The 20-year old was on the shortlist of Andres Villas-Boas while he was still in charge of the English side, and Chelsea's interest remains strong despite the Portuguese's departure from the helm.
The club are hopeful Roberto will make the switch from Camp Nou to Stamford Bridge, like compatriot Oriel Romeu before him. However, the Blues' latest bid of 6.5 million Euros has been turned down by Barcelona.
Barcelona may be willing to negotiate with Chelsea if new manager Tito Vilanova decides to keep Mali international Seydou Keita, although a buy-back clause is likely to be incorporated into any transfer deal involving Roberto.
