Reigning Malaysia Super League champions Kelantan moved three points behind leaders LIONSXII on Saturday after recording a 3-0 win at PKNS FC.
Norshahrul Idlan Talaha put the Red Warriors ahead in the 27th minute put PKNS proceeded to put up a strong fight in front of their own fans at the Petaling Jaya Stadium.
However, their resistance eventually buckled in the closing stages of the game, and Obinna Nwaneri and Mohammed Ghaddar added further goals in the final seven minutes to give the visitors a comfortable victory.
The win means Kelantan are now just three points behind the LIONSXII, with four games in hand, after the Singaporean outfit threw away a two-goal lead to draw 3-3 with Kedah at the Jalan Besar Stadium.
After Khyril Muhymeen had cancelled out Shahril Ishak's 10th-minute opener, goals from Sufian Anuar and Baihakki Khaizan put V. Sundramoorthy's men in a commanding position.
However, Amar Rohidan pulled one back for Hijau-Kuning in the 62nd minute, before Vedran Gerc lashed home the equaliser three minutes later to steal a share of the spoils for the visitors.
In the Borneo derby, Sarawak edged out rivals Sabah thanks to Joel Epalle's 32nd-minute strike, while Terengganu's woes continued as they were beaten 2-1 at Felda United.
Terengganu's city rivals T-Team edged Kuala Lumpur 2-1 thanks to a Norfazly Alias strike 11 minutes from time, after Afiq Azmi had cancelled out Marco Tulio's opener for the Young Turtles.
Elsewhere, Negri Sembilan beat Johor FC 2-1 while on Friday, Perak recorded a 2-0 win over Selangor to move up to third in the table.
