LionsXII won Johor FC by 1-0 on Saturday in Pasir Gudang, extending their lead in the Malaysian Super League.

It is the Singapore team's third consecutive win so far.

They are now at the top of the table with 30 points from 14 matches, reported The Straits Times.

But league champs Kelantan are not far behind with 27 points from 12 matches.

Striker Khairul Nizam scored the LionsXII's only goal minutes before half time, while goalkeeper Hyrulnizam Jumaat managed to keep the hosts from putting in goals in the second half.

The LionsXII will play Perak next this coming Tuesday at Jalan Besar Stadium.
