Girls In Tech (GIT), the global all-woman tech network, has arrived in Singapore. And so has its American founder Adriana Gascoigne, now based here.
About 150 women, a mix of Singaporeans and expatriates, have already joined the two-month-old Singapore chapter.
Some work at Microsoft, Google and other established tech firms. Others run their own start-ups or are students. Not all are tech professionals, but it is technology that unites them.
Banish any thought that this is some closeted cabal of nerds hiding behind black-framed spectacles. The tech girls are attractive, vivacious, intelligent, cool.
