Elderly man found dead in Yio Chu Kang

The body of an elderly Chinese man was found in a forested area off Yio Chu Kang Road on Saturday near a drain where people sometimes fish.

At about 3.30pm, the 70-year-old was spotted lying motionless and the police were informed.

Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene in a forested patch opposite Cactus Road.

The police are investigating the case as unnatural death.
