Gombak United and Woodlands Wellington both had to settle for a point on Saturday after playing out a 0-0 draw in the Great Eastern-YEO's S.League.
Having had a bye in the previous round, Gombak were looking to build on the 3-0 win they recorded over Tanjong Pagar United two weeks ago, while Woodlands were aiming to bounce back from last Sunday's 2-0 loss to Balestier Khalsa.
However, neither side looked particularly adventurous and both Rams strikers Moon Soon Ho and Gombak spearhead Jung Hee-bong had little to feed on for much of the game.
Saturday's result means Woodlands remain 9th in the league, a point ahead of Gombak.
On Friday, SAFFC made it two wins on the trot with a 3-1 victory over Tanjong Pagar United.
The Warriors went ahead in the opening minute when captain Daniel Bennett nodded home a corner at the near post, before Bosnian forward Mislav Karoglan doubled their lead three minutes later.
The Jaguars pulled one back in the 67th minute through Takaya Kawanabe, but there was to be no denying Richard Bok's charges as Shimpei Sakurada fired home another 12 minutes from time to secure all three points.
Elsewhere, high-flying Balestier Khalsa were brought back down to earth after they were beaten 3-1 by lowly Geylang United at the Bedok Stadium.
Goals from Rhema Obed and Michael King gave the Eagles a 2-0 lead after twenty minutes, before the Tigers were reduced to ten men after Geylang old boy Syed Thaha received his marching orders in the 40th minute.
Slovak midfielder Jozef Kaplan added a third seven minutes from the end, before Balestier captain Paul Cunningham netted a late consolation in injury-time.
Thursday's action saw Harimau Muda and DPMM FC play out a 1-1 draw in a hot-tempered encounter.
Brazilian striker Rodrigo Grahl had opened the scoring for the Bruneian outfit in the 59th minute but Gary Robbat levelled for Harimau Muda nine minutes later to force a draw.
