Changi General Hospital to manage 30 beds in Parkway East Hospital

To better handle its patient load, Changi General Hospital (CGH) will manage 30 beds in Parkway East Hospital (PEH).

Operations are expected to begin in the second quarter of this year, with the 30-bed ward to have a mix of single rooms, double rooms and a multiple-bed rooms.

Under this agreement, signed between the Health Ministry and Parkway Pantai on Mar 23, CGH patients with stable acute medical conditions will be warded at PEH and managed by CGH staff. These patients will be charged the same fees they would pay at CGH, with subsidised patients receiving the subsidies accorded to their admitted ward class.

After discharge, patients will continue their follow-up appointments with their doctors at CGH.
