Puppy used as target practice had eyes gouged out

Andre, the tortured puppy, was found tied in a plastic bag and left for dead with BB gun rounds lodged under his skin. He was also starved to the point of looking like a “skeleton,” and is now being treated at the Circle L Ranch Rescue in Phoenix.

"He must have been in so much pain. His eyes were hanging out of his head," said Susy Hopkins, Andre's foster caretaker. "He's been so neglected and abused."

Andre received a blood transfusion and is gradually gaining weight and recovering.

"He'll adjust, but at this point, he's still confused," Dr. Deborah Wilson, a veterinarian at Circle L Ranch Rescue added. "He doesn't know why he can't see."

To help bring justice to Andre's plight, PETA has stepped in to offer up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible for the crime.
