Jason Lim Wei Kwan, 37, went missing on Saturday when the lorry he was driving rolled off a barge and disappeared into the sea.
A body believed to be his was found on Monday and returned to his grieving family on Tuesday. They are now trying to find answers about the tragedy surrounding his death.
The 10 tonne lorry which the both of them were in had been washed some 300m away from the accident site off Pasir Panjang Terminal, and was found near Sungei Pandan on Sunday. Lim's body was found on Monday floating off the coast of Jurong Island.
Lim's Thai wife, Madam Samai Chatthahan, is believed to have returned home with their four children on Monday after his relatives contacted her in Thailand, where she had been visiting family when the accident occurred.
