Singapore to provide $63,000 in humanitarian aid to Turkey

The government will be providing a humanitarian aid package of US$50,000 (S$62,915) to Turkey, following the recent earthquake that struck the province of Van on Oct 23.

The earthquake killed at least 459 people in the region of eastern Turkey.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), the funds will be channelled through the Singapore Red Cross for emergency relief supplies.
