Administrative fees for Employment Passes, S Passes and Work Permits to go up from Dec 1

The Ministry of Manpower announced on Monday that the administrative fees for most work passes will be increased from Dec 1.

The ministry said in a statement: 'This is in line with the government's financial principle that the full cost of providing a public service should be borne by users of the service rather than taxpayers in general.'

One of the key changes is an increase from $10 to $20 for application fees for Employment Passes, S Passes and Work Permits.

Another change is an increase to $70 and $120 respectively of issuance fees for S Passes and Employment Passes. These fees will also be charged per transaction instead of per year.
