A 6-year-old boy was hit Wednesday morning in front of his school after he got out of his grandfather’s car and tripped. An approaching vehicle struck the child and trapped him underneath until police arrived to lift the car and release the child, with the help of bystanders.
The child was treated at Delray Medical Center. His condition was not released, but sources say his injuries were not life-threatening when he was admitted.
The driver did not receive a citation, Boca Raton police said.
