3 key initiatives to boost quality of early education

Early child care and development is getting a leg up from the government to develop and educate infants and toddlers.

The three key initiatives are early years development framework, training and certification for early years educarers and improving human resource management.

The early years development framework, created over two years through consultation with international experts, is a syllabus to be applied by all child care centers.

To be rolled out in phases, it complements existing programmes like the Nurturing Early Learners Framework and will benefit over 25,000 kids three years and below.
