Zouk, Butter Factory file police report over HIV syringe rumours

TWO popular clubs in Singapore have been the target of online rumours.

And both have alerted the police.

The rumour: A woman, dubbed the "Revenge Angel", is going around Zouk and The Butter Factory attacking club-goers with a syringe supposedly filled with HIV-tainted blood.

She had apparently been infected with the virus from someone she had met in a club.

Police confirmed that the reports were lodged and said they are looking into the matter.

Its spokesman told The New Paper: "However, at this point, the information received is unsubstantiated.

The public is advised not to perpetuate such rumours which may cause undue alarm."
