SINGAPORE has the most expensive parking rates in Southeast Asia, according to research released on Tuesday.

Motorists here pay an average of US$24.59 (S$30.40) a day in the city zone, ahead of Bangkok, US$13.20 (S$15.90) and Manila, US$2.31 (S$2.80), a report by the Colliers International Parking Rate Survey showed.
In the Asia-Pacific region, Singapore's parking rates rank as the eighth costliest. Melbourne takes the top spot in Asia-Pac at a daily rate of US$69.53, following by Sydney, US$67.42, and Tokyo, US$62.
Conversely, Jakarta has the cheapest daily parking of the 156 cities surveyed, at just US$0.92 a day.ORIGINAL SOURCE
