SingTel chairman to step down

SINGAPORE: Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) said its Chairman Chumpol NaLamlieng will step down as Chairman and Director of the company.

He will be succeeded by Mr Simon Israel, after the SingTel's Annual General Meeting, which will take place on July 29, 2011.

Mr Israel will retire as Executive Director, President and Board Member of Temasek Holdings, effective July 1, 2011.
