A LORRY passenger died of injuries sustained in a suspected drink-driving accident along East Coast Parkway (ECP) Saturday morning.
Police responded to a call at 6.30am about a collision between a car and a lorry along the expressway near Bayshore condominium. Both vehicles were headed in the direction of Changi Airport.
The 31-year-old injured man, a passenger in the lorry, was taken to Changi General Hospital, but died 35 minutes later.
A 19-year-old motorist has been arrested for suspected drink-driving. Less than two hours later, another accident took place near the same place between a car and a cyclist. It had started raining by then.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force said the collision happened at about 8am.
Three people were injured and taken by ambulance to Changi General Hospital for treatment.
