HOUSTON— Police said the suspect was attempting to buy a ticket at Greyhound’s downtown bus depot bus station in the 2100 block of Main St. around 5:15 p.m. when someone spotted the butt of his gun sticking out of his belongings.

Houston Police Department (HPD) officers responded to the scene and used a Taser on the man after an altercation. The suspect then fired his gun, striking two officers.

One of the officers was grazed on the hand. The other suffered a gunshot wound to his calf. Both injuries were considered non-life-threatening.

The suspect was subsequently found dead inside a parking garage at the intersection of Pierce and Fannin, where he had barricaded himself after the shooting.
