Note from TuffDaddy: Due to the General Election 2011 going on in Singapore from 27 Apr to 07 May, I won't really have time to update every piece of news on here. I'm sorry about that. For news on the GE, check out the following links for updates by real professionals.

Like the existing 2-wheeler bikes, the new 3-wheeler Fast Response Paramedic bikes will be deployed as the first response vehicles for road traffic accidents and other emergency medical cases.

One key feature of the new bikes is the ability to stop and park like a car – without the use of the traditional motorcycle stand.

This enables SCDF personnel to deal with the incident as soon as they arrive at the scene and gain quicker access to the patient.

The Fast Response Paramedics will provide initial assessment and critical medical intervention at the scene, while waiting for the ambulance to arrive.

The 3-wheeler bikes, which are equipped with an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) for cardiac cases, have been operational at Central Fire Station and Alexandra Fire Station since 27 September 2010.
