Jurong Bird Park's penguin Belle back and well

One of Jurong Bird Park's 96 penguins, Belle had lost all its feathers last year, perhaps due to stress or a hormonal imbalance, vets said.

So keepers made the knee-high, 10-year-old female Humboldt penguin a tiny custom wetsuit (above) that kept it warm and conserved energy for its feathers to regrow.

She is now back in the swim of things again, and with its black-and-white coat back too.
