Many STOMPers have reported seeing a huge cloud of thick, black smoke rising from the industrial estate of Defu Lane this morning (Mar 4) as early as 730am. The SCDF confirms that there was a fire and will release an official statement shortly.
STOMPer Angela described:
"While we were driving along the highway towards the KPE, we saw this sight in the sky.
"It seemed like an ominous sign and as we were nearing it, we could see the smoke grow darker as more smoke billowed out from an unknown source.'
Stomp has contacted the SCDF and will publish an official statement shortly.
