Pele and Cantona may be heading to Singapore

Widely regarded as the greatest footballer to play the game, Pele is expected to visit Singapore next month, as part of an initiative by Courts.

Last-minute details were still being worked out at press time on Friday night, and MediaCorp understands the Brazilian great will be accompanied by Manchester United legend Eric Cantona, regarded by many as one of the greatest to ever grace the Old Trafford green.

Pele and Cantona, both former strikers, are slated to be present at Jalan Besar Stadium to watch the Courts Young Lions take on Geylang United in a Great Eastern-Yeo's S-League fixture on March 3.

It will be the team's second home fixture after the season opener last week.
