Volvo recalls 300 cars in S'pore

VOLVO is recalling about 300 vehicles in Singapore for an engine software upgrade as a pre-emptive measure against the possibility of the vehicles jerking or stalling at low speeds.

About 11,000 cars of the S40, V50 and C30 models from 2009 onwards are involved in the recall worldwide, following investigations by the Volvo headquarters in Sweden.

Affected customers were informed late last week by a letter sent from local Volvo distributor Wearnes Automotive.
