SINGAPORE : Security at Downtown East and Costa Sands Resort has been increased, following the recent murder at Downtown East and the arrest of four youths with choppers at Costa Sands Resort.
NTUC Club, which manages the two premises, told MediaCorp that security patrols have been stepped up, as more visitors are expected during the school holidays.
The surveillance system has also been enhanced, and lighting installed in dim areas.
Police have also increased their presence in the area, with more patrols and checks at Downtown East.
Visitors said the recent incidents have not put them off from visiting the resorts.
One visitor said: "Everything has happened, so there are bound to be more people patrolling. So they will definitely make it more safe."
