PREMIUM bus services have doubled in number in the last two years, reflecting a rising demand for them. These buses, charging $3 to $5 for a one-way ride and an assured seat, now range beyond the Central Business District, wending through office areas like Alexandra Road and the Changi Business Park.
In early 2008, 42 services were on the road, mainly around Shenton Way. Today, there are 83.
The Public Transport Council put their daily ridership this year at 4,800. LINK
