Give way at another 36 bus bays

From tomorrow, another 36 bus bays will come under the Mandatory Give Way to Buses Scheme.

With this extension, there will be 146 bus bays islandwide under the scheme, said the Land Transport Authority.

The new bus bays are at Woodlands Avenue 2, 3, 4 and 7, Bedok North Avenue 1, Upper Changi Road, Simei Road, Kaki Bukit Avenue 1 and Toa Payoh Lorong 1.

The scheme is similar in concept to a zebra crossing, except that it is for buses.

It is an offence for motorists not to give way. They can be fined $130.
