Traffic Arrangements For Annual Fire Walking Festival 2010

The Annual Fire Walking Festival will be held from Sunday, 24 October 2010 at 10 pm to Monday, 25 October 2010 at 12.00 pm . About 3,700 devotees will participate in the procession from the Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple at Serangoon Road to the Sri Mariamman Temple at South Bridge Road .

To facilitate the event, the following roads will be affected:

In addition, Mosque Street will be converted to a two-way road to allow access to and exit from New Bridge Road from 8 pm on Sunday, 24 October 2010 till Monday, 25 October, 2010 , 10 am.

Motorists are advised to avoid the affected areas, including all peripheral roads leading to the areas. Auxiliary Police officers will be deployed at all affected road junctions to regulate traffic and assist motorists.

Parking restrictions along the peripheral roads will be strictly enforced. Vehicles found parking and causing obstruction will be towed away.
