Shooting president laments poor facilities in Singapore

NEW DELHI -- Singapore shooters have been producing medals on a daily basis at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, bagging a total of 2 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze medals after five days of competition at the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Centre in New Delhi.

Singapore Shooting Association (SSA) president Chng Seng Mok can’t help but reflect on what he called “ inadequate and mostly out-dated facilities” his charges have to train with in Singapore.
“Back home we don’t have proper shooting facilities to train our shooters and hold competitions,” Chng told MediaCorp. “When international competitors come to Singapore, they laugh at what we have at our shooting range. They wonder why a rich country like Singapore cannot afford a proper one.” MORE
