Pregnant S'pore Girl to get ex-gratia payment

SINGAPORE - The Singapore Girl who gets pregnant will now receive two months' basic salary as ex-gratia payment when she ceases employment with Singapore Airlines (SIA).

While female cabin crew welcomed SIA's new policy, one noted that "it is not a lot of money and is long overdue". A local cabin crew member's basic monthly salary starts from $1,300 but, with allowances, this could amount to about $3,500. LINK
