Fallen trees and bricks from rooftops litter Serangoon North


STOMPer Han was just caught in the traffic jam that resulted after more than 20 trees were toppled over the storm:

"The whole stretch of Serangoon North service road is closed because of more than 15 fallen trees or branches.

Cars damaged by branches
BRANCHES from at least 20 trees in the Serangoon North area came crashing down after a brief thunderstorm yesterday, damaging eight cars, three of them seriously.

The downpour in the late afternoon also caused several tree branches to fall in areas such as Hougang and Ang Mo Kio, littering the pavements and roads.

SINGAPORE: Strong winds and rain caused streets in the Serangoon North and Yio Chu Kang areas to be littered with fallen branches on Friday evening.

The news team spotted almost 30 fallen branches in just Serangoon North Avenue 1 alone.

Branches also fell on an SBS bus and as a result, a female passenger had to be sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
