Sing dollar touches new peak against US $

SINGAPORE - The Singapore dollar yesterday hit a new all-time high against the US dollar for a fourth time in nearly two weeks, with experts saying further appreciation was expected amid increased risk appetite and rising confidence in Asia's economic fundamentals.

The US dollar hit a low of $1.3370 during intra-day trade before recovering slightly to $1.3383 on late short-covering.
