On May 30 at about 3am, Sutilah, 33, called the police after she returned to her employer's flat from an outing and found the front door locked from the inside.
When officers later arrived at the Ang Mo Kio unit, Sutilah claimed her employer's son had molested her.
The 58-year-old machine operator was arrested and kept in police custody for nearly 11 hours.
The married man was only released after Sutilah admitted to the authorities that she lied. The court heard she was upset he had locked her out of the flat even though they had been intimate with each other. MORE
