Immigration issue top concern for Singaporeans

More than 90 per cent of those surveyed either agreed or strongly agreed with many Government policies on the economy and education, including the need for workers to raise productivity and upgrade knowledge and skills.

On immigration, however, many expressed anxiety over the perceived competition for jobs and housing.

This came through in a telephone survey commissioned by the Government feedback channel Reach to gather views on the recent National Day Rally speech by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. MORE
