YOG Wrapup: Cuba wins final gold of Games

SINGAPORE: The final gold medal of the YOG has been won by Cuba's boys' volleyball team, who beat Argentina's 3-1 Thursday, in the last day of the Games.

In the girls' volleyball final at Toa Payoh Sports Hall, team Belgium beat the USA 3-1.

This is the Belgians' second gold at the Games.

China have won 30 gold, 16 silver and five bronze medals, while Russia are in second place, with 19 gold medals.

South Korea have won 11 gold medals.

USA, traditionally among the top five nations in either the Summer or Winter Olympic Games, is currently ranked 13th, with four gold, nine silver and nine bronze medals.

In the table tennis mixed team finals, top seeds Japan have beaten South Korea to win the gold medal. MORE
