YOG: Australia clinch Gold in Boys' Hockey... and other updates

SINGAPORE : Australia clinched the Gold medal in the Boys' Hockey after a 2-1 win over rivals Pakistan at the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) on Wednesday.

Belgium took the Bronze following a 4-1 win over Ghana while Singapore finished 5th after a 6-1 win over Chile earlier on Wednesday.

Over at the Suntec International Convention Centre, Egypt grabbed the Gold beating South Korea 35-25 in the Boys' Handball Final.

Earlier, France beat Brazil 40-27 to take home the Bronze.

In the Girls' Handball Final, Denmark beat Russia 28-26 to take home the Gold while the Russians had to settle for Silver.

Brazil received the Bronze after beating Kazakhstan 45-23.

And in Girls' Volleyball, Peru beat Japan 3-1 to take home the Bronze.

As for the boys, Russia claimed the bronze beating Serbia 3-0. MORE
