Roads in the Orchard area will be closed for Pedestrian Night on Saturday (Nov 1), the Singapore Police Force said in an advisory on Friday.

From 6pm to 11pm, Orchard Road (between Scotts Road and Bideford Road) and the carriageway of Mount Elizabeth in the direction of Orchard Road (between Nutmeg Road and Orchard Road) will be closed to vehicular traffic, and access will only be granted to police and emergency vehicles.

The police also warned that parking restrictions will be enforced, while vehicles found parking indiscriminately and causing obstruction will be towed away.

These road closures form part of the second instalment of Pedestrian Night on Orchard Road, organised by the Orchard Road Businesses Association and the Singapore Tourism Board. Saturday's event, named Yoga Beat, has been touted as a hip hop yoga block party.
