Crystal Palace earn Liverpool win
Selhurst Park again proved an unhappy hunting ground for Liverpool as Crystal Palace earned a 3-1 win in the Barclays Premier League on Sunday.
Dwight Gayle, Joe Ledley and Mile Jedinak got the goals to ensure Brendan Rodgers' side continued their poor start to the campaign.
It appeared Liverpool would exorcise the demons from last time out when Lambert converted his first goal for the club in the second minute.
But Gayle levelled matters 15 minutes later as Palace found the ideal riposte.
Ledley and Jedinak finished the job with late strikes to heap further misery on Liverpool - whose bottom-half standing makes the lofty heights of 2013-14 seem an increasingly distant memory.
Palace, meanwhile, climbed out of the bottom three on goal difference following a first win in six league outings.

Tottenham Hotspur produce another fightback
Tottenham Hotspur produced another fightback to beat Hull City 2-1 after Gaston Ramirez was sent off on his first start for Steve Bruce's side.
Jake Livermore had given Hull a half-time lead at the KC Stadium on Sunday with his first goal of the season, but he was unable to celebrate a victory against his former club.
On-loan winger Ramirez was shown a straight red card following an off-the-ball incident with Jan Vertonghen five minutes after the break and Spurs dominated from then on.
Harry Kane equalised with his second league goal of the season after Eriksen's free-kick had struck the post, before the Dane grabbed a late winner, as the north Londoners claimed all three points from behind against 10 men - just as they did at Aston Villa in their last Barclays Premier League away match.
Mauricio Pochettino's side had been beaten by Stoke City before the international break and the Argentinian coach got the response he was looking for, while Hull only have two victories to their name in the top flight this term.
