West Ham eye Andre Ayew
West Ham hope their close relationship with Marseille wheeler and dealer Willie McKay will help land Andre Ayew.

The Irons are among five Premier League clubs keen on signing the Ghana striker.

Liverpool, Everton, Swansea and Hull have all been alerted after Ayew snubbed Marseille’s latest contract offer.

The 24-year-old will be available on a free as he plans to run down his deal in France in order to seal a lucrative switch.

Marseille are refusing to break their wage structure to keep Ayew, who wants in the region of £50,000 a week.

Manchester City target Ross Barkley
Manchester City had tried to prise Barkley away from Goodison before transfer deadline day - only to be thwarted by the £50million asking price.

The champions will be back again next summer - despite the England midfielder’s decision to sign a new four-year contract in June.

But Martinez isn’t worried that Barkley’s head will be turned - and insists that the fact there is no buy-out option means that the Toffees hold all the aces.

“There is no buy-out clause,” said the Everton boss, who is looking for Barkley to replicate the form that took him to the World Cup last summer after a knee injury ruled him out of the first two months of the season.

“In fact, there are no buy-out clauses in any of our contracts. The only one we had was with Marouane Fellaini, and that wasn’t triggered so it didn’t matter.

“So I’m not going to be worried about other teams’ interest, because there will always be interest in talented young English players like Ross and also John Stones.

Southampton eye Paulo Dybala from Palermo
Southampton manager Ronald Koeman is plotting a January swoop for Palermo striker Paulo Dybala.

Dybala - who the Italians compared to Manchester City's Sergio Aguero when he joined them in 2012 - has scored two goals in Serie A this season and is also attracting interest from Portuguese giants Benfica.

The 20-year-old's current contract is due to run out at the end of this campaign, with a new deal yet to be agreed.

The Saints have now joined the race for Dybala, with Palermo willing to cash in on their forward in the winter window rather than lose him for free next summer.

QPR, Aston Villa and Stoke on transfer alert for Clint Dempsey loan deal
Clint Dempsey is ready to make a Premier League loan return in January.

USA skipper Dempsey rejoined old club Fulham for a two-month stint last term.

And the Seattle Sounders striker, 31, is set to head back to England during the MLS close-season. QPR, Aston Villa and Stoke will all be keen having declared their interest last year.

USA coach Jurgen Klinsmann has given his backing for the short-term move as he wants Dempsey to stay fit during the break in America.

Tottenham eye Germany World Cup winner Christoph Kramer
Tottenham's Franco Baldini is on the trail of Christoph Kramer after watching the World Cup winner THREE times since the start of the season, write Alan Oliver and Neil Moxley in the Sunday People.

The White Hart Lane club's technical director has run the rule over the German international several times during the midfielder’s successful loan spell with Borussia Moenchengladbach.

The playmaker, who was used as a late replacement by Joachim Loew in this summer's Brazil 2014 final against Argentina after Sami Khedira was ruled out with an injury in the warm-up, has been loaned from parent club Bayer Leverkusen.

Man United plot Daley Sinkgraven swoop
Manchester United are ready to step up their interest in Dutch wonderkid Daley Sinkgraven.

Louis van Gaal is worried that the Old Trafford giants may lose out on the 19-year-old attacking midfielder to Real Madrid, Barcelona or Liverpool after some eye-catching performances for Heerenveen this season.

He has ordered his scouting team to bring him more detailed reports about Sinkgraven’s progress with a view to agreeing a deal with his Dutch club in January.

Van Gaal knows all about Sinkgraven’s background – the player’s father, Harry, played for Groningen and Zwolle.

Any deal is likely to see the player stay with Heerenveen until the end of next season to continue his footballing education.
