A 30-year-old male suspect was arrested over his alleged role in a case of motor vehicle theft, the Singapore Police Force said on Friday (Oct 24).
The motor vehicle was stolen from a car park at Serangoon Avenue 4, and the victim lodged a police report on Oct 18. The stolen vehicle was recovered on the same day along Jalan Teck Kee.
Using police cameras installed in the vicinity of the reported crime, police were able to establish the identity of the suspect. The 30-year-old was arrested on Oct 23 at Serangoon Avenue 4.
Police said the suspect will be charged in court on Monday (Oct 27) for theft of motor vehicle. He faces a jail term of up to seven years and a fine if convicted.
