A stalled skytrain caused disruption in its service at Changi Airport on Wednesday afternoon (Oct 22). It affected five lines, which connect the airport's three terminals.

Changi Airport Group (CAG) said while service on four of the lines was restored after a short while, the stalled skytrain that was heading from Terminal 2 to Terminal 3 could not be immediately repaired. It had to be manually towed to the Terminal 3 station. The service on that line resumed only after 7pm.

“While the stalled train carriage continued to receive ventilation, we recognise that the experience was nonetheless not pleasant," said a CAG spokesperson.

CAG said its airport staff were on the ground to provide assistance and shuttle busses were deployed to facilitate passenger movements between terminals.

It added that its engineers are still investigating the incident.

CAG said it was sorry for the inconvenience and discomfort caused.
