The Republic welcomed some of its athletes who returned from the 2nd Asian Para Games in Incheon, South Korea on Saturday (Oct 25).
The athletes brought home with them a total of six medals, from sailing, bowling and swimming.
Singapore's only gold medal came from sailors Jovin Tan and newcomer Yap Qian Yin. While the bowlers pinned down two bronze medals for the country, a silver and two bronze medals were bagged by the swimmers.
Jovin said: "(It took) blood, sweat and tears in order to have such a great achievement. And of course, the coaches, volunteers, family members and the council also did their very best to support and make this possible for us."
Qian Yin added: "I think it is also an encouragement to the rest of the sailors to actually work harder for what they want because what we want, we have to earn it."
