Pedestrian dead in fatal accident along Tampines Street 11

A 57-year old man died on Monday after he was hit by a car at the junction of Tampines Street 11 and Tampines Ave 2.

The SCDF received a call for assistance at about 4.10pm regarding an accident involving a car and a pedestrian.

1 ambulance was dispatched to the scene.

The pedestrian, a Chinese male, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the car, a Malay male in his 40s, sustained serious head injuries and was immediately rushed to Changi General Hospital.

The driver has subsequently been arrested in connection with the incident. Investigations are ongoing.
