Tottenham drafted in seven new players in the last close season at a cost of more than £100million. Now, there could be another major influx.

Chairman Daniel Levy has met with Director of Football Franco Baldini and new manager Mauricio Pochettino to draw up a list of targets and the players that may be up for sale.

Among those on the Pochettino hit list are Romelu Lukaku – the Chelsea and Belgium striker - who will find his chances at Stamford Bridge limited following the arrival of Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid.

He spent last season on loan at Everton. Pochettino also wants Southampton’s Dejan Lovren, the Croatian defender who played against Brazil in the World Cup opener on Thursday.

Belgium international Toby Alderweireld is also on the radar despite his move to Atletico Madrid.

And Yevhen Konoplyanka, who is one of the hottest properties in Ukraine football, is highly regarded by Baldini and wanted by Liverpool and Manchester United.

And to pay for the newcomers, several of the current first team squad are targets for other Premier League and Spanish clubs.

Out will go Roberto Soldado, who failed to make a major impact after his £25m move from Valencia. Others nearing the exit sign are Andros Townsend, Michael Dawson, Jake Livermore; Harry Kane, Etienne Capoue and Nacer Chadli.

But Pochettino wants to keep Hugo Lloris and he will try to transform hugely disappointing Erik Lamela.
