A Singaporean man and a Taiwanese woman were killed after the Volkswagen they were travelling in crashed into a tree on the East Coast Parkway on May 1.
Four other passengers travelling in the car at the time were also injured when the accident occurred.
A startling video has since emerged showing how the crash happened.
According to a report in Mypaper, the white Volkswagen had crashed through a road barrier before ramming into a tree on a road divider on the East Coast Parkway along Marine Vista.
Police said they received a call about the accident at 7.32am. The driver and a woman in the passenger seat were pronounced dead at the scene, while the four seated at the back were taken to Changi General Hospital for treatment.
The driver's identity was reported as Jamie Ho, 33, a director and associate publisher at Magazines Integrated.
Lianhe Wanbao identified the other fatality as Chen Ren Yi, 24, a Taiwanese woman.
Police investigations are ongoing.
