On May 1, my car was hit in the rear by a multi-purpose vehicle along Telok Blangah Road.
Due to the strong impact, my mother and I suffered neck injuries and shock. Minutes later, I noticed that my mum had turned pale.
Luckily, an ambulance happened to be passing by and the paramedics offered to help.
I thank the four crew members for checking on my mum's condition and taking her to Alexandra Hospital for treatment. If not for their help, we would not have been able to proceed with our plan to celebrate Mother's Day overseas.
I also thank the doctors and nurses of Ward 9 in Alexandra Hospital, who cared for my mum throughout her stay.
Their reassurance and moral support helped my family deal with the trauma. Even after my mum was discharged, they called to ask after her.
