2 accidents in AMK and SLE, 1 rider dead, 1 driver arrested

Eight people were injured in an accident involving four vehicles at the junction of Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6 and Street 24 on May 3.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force, which was alerted at about 9am, sent four ambulances to the scene.

It said the eight who were injured were sent to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

The four vehicles involved in the accident are a public bus, a minibus, a van and a car.

Separately, a motorcyclist died on the spot in an accident along the Seletar Expressway (SLE) early that morning.

The police, who were alerted about the accident at about 5.10am, said the accident involved a motorcycle and a car.

The driver of the car has been arrested and investigations are ongoing.
