The Traffic Police are looking into three separate traffic offences that were caught on camera by Stomp contributors.
1) One of the offenders is a driver who tried to squeeze his car past a Stomp contributor's vehicle at a junction in Sengkang last Saturday Feb 22, 2014, even though the traffic light was red.
In his report, Stomp contributor CS recounted how the driver had also impatiently sounded his horn at him and gestured for him to move aside and let him make a left turn.
2) The second offender is a truck driver who had beat the red light at a road junction in Tampines Avenue 7, which was near where a fatal accident had happened before, reported Stomp contributor SC.
3) Stomp contributor Tan wrote in about the third offender, caught on his in-vehicle camera, who not only beat the red light at Toa Payoh Lorong 2, but also narrowly missed a girl who was about to cross the road.
These reports have caught the attention of the Traffic Police, who is also appealing for those who have witnessed a traffic violation to lodge a police report.
In a statement to Stomp, a spokesperson for the police wrote:
"The Traffic Police is aware of this incident and is looking into the matter. For more information on reporting traffic violations, visit the Traffic Police website at http://driving-in-singapore.spf.gov.sg/."
