Driver of SGH357X attempts to make left turn at Sengkang when light is red

Stomp contributor CS encountered an impatient and inconsiderate driver while waiting at a traffic light junction between Compassvale Road and Compassvale Walk.

While the contributor was waiting for the light to turn green at the leftmost lane, a Proton came behind him and the driver horned and gestured for CS to move aside so he could make a left turn.

The contributor said:

"On Feb 22, I was at the traffic light junction between Compassvale Road and Compassvale Walk and traveling on the third lane when the light turned red.

"At 1.24pm, a Proton with a red weekend plate pulled up behind me and started blaring his horn for no apparent reason. I then realised that he wanted to turn left. I could see from the rearview mirror that he was gesturing to me rudely and asking me to move forward for him to turn left.

"The road did not even have a filter left lane, and the traffic light was still red. As you can see in the video, the traffic light was still on red and my direction was straight."
